Fall in Love with Fitness

I love the fall... especially when it comes to fitness! Fall is the perfect time of the year for any kind of fitness. It's great running weather. Boot camp classes can be inside or outside, and it's the best time to help people "Fall in Love with Fitness!"

For me, Fall could not come fast enough. Now my mom always says, "Linaya, don't rush your life away!" But, in this case, I could not wait to get summer over with. This summer was actually very challenging for me personally and ended with some major changes and adjustments for myself and my family. ...Needless to say, I'm still adapting and adjusting.

September gave me a chance to reset and regroup from all that the summer had thrown at me. Some of my September SMILES included a Barrevolution staff retreat where we took classes and workshops to better our practice; a 42 song dance fitness birthday celebration for Soca'Robics Nat, where I could dance my pain away; and an amazing fitness field trip to Awakenings Pole Fitness Studio to take a bungee fitness class (see Jumping 4 Joy blog).

October was outstanding because we had another amazing fitness field trip to

The Adventure Park at Sandy Springs, where we completed challenging obstacle courses in the trees, climbing and zip-lining. Check out our photo album on FB. I also participated in a super fun and challenging Fitness Glow Party at Phil Mor Fit!

November arrived so quickly that before I could blink, it was Thanksgiving! This is a great time to get back into a fitness routine, before the holiday hustle and bustle begins. I am so excited this holiday season to give the gift of health and fitness. SMILE4Fitness is sponsoring an amazing participant to take the Phil Mor Fit 6 week challenge and hopefully change their life. This challenge ($100 value) delivers results and, it works... when you work it! Folks are losing weight, learning to eat clean, getting fit, and becoming part of a fantastic fitness family. For this challenge, I sponsored Sabrinia Gay to participate and learn to #findherfitnessself. We are in week 2 of the challenge, and I couldn't be more proud of Sabrinia. She is dedicated, working hard, and following the plan. Her commitment is incredible, and it's already paying off. Keep up the fantastic work, Sabrinia. #noexcusesjustsmiles
